R.O.A.R

Raising Our Access & Rights
A Fatherhood Advocacy Program by SOTRO
Our Mission

Protect

Protect the parental rights of fathers and father figures.
Too often, men are dismissed, overlooked, or unfairly judged in custody and parenting disputes. R.O.A.R. stands firmly on the principle that fathers and father figures play an irreplaceable role in a child’s life.
We advocate for recognition of paternal rights in legal, institutional, and social contexts.
We challenge bias that treats fathers as “secondary parents.”
We help men assert their rights respectfully but firmly, ensuring that their voices are heard in decision-making processes that impact their children.

Promote

Promote equal access and shared parenting rooted in the child’s best interest.
The best interest of a child is not served when one parent is excluded. R.O.A.R. promotes a vision of family where both parents are engaged, present, and recognized.
We encourage cooperative parenting models that reduce conflict and uplift the child’s stability.
We support shared custody arrangements where children benefit from the love and guidance of both parents.
We provide advocacy to ensure that fathers are not unjustly denied parenting time due to systemic bias, misinformation, or manipulation.

Provide

Provide advocacy tools, education, and emotional support.
Fathers navigating custody disputes or parenting challenges often feel isolated and without resources. R.O.A.R. equips men with practical tools and emotional resilience to meet those challenges head-on.
Legal templates, affidavit guides, and advocacy resources designed to help fathers represent themselves effectively.
Educational workshops on family law, rights awareness, and conflict resolution.
Emotional and spiritual support through peer networks, mentoring, and professional counseling, ensuring no father has to walk this journey alone.

Prepare

Prepare men with the strength, dignity, and clarity to face courts, institutions, and family conflict.
Custody disputes, child support hearings, and institutional barriers can break a man’s spirit. R.O.A.R. prepares fathers to face these battles with confidence, self-control, and clarity of purpose.
Strength: helping men find inner resilience through community, preparation, and personal growth.
Dignity: teaching fathers how to present themselves respectfully and powerfully, without losing composure under stress.
Clarity: offering guidance so men understand their rights, their responsibilities, and their options at every stage of the process.
